About Me

Originally from Hong Kong, I graduated from Georgia Tech with a Master in Computer Science with a concentration in Machine Learning, and long before that I read a lot of philosophy and political science at the University of Hong Kong.

Professionally, I work on all things AI engineering from deploying self-serve models to building a data pipeline that fine-tunes and evaluates models. I enjoy specifically the architecture side of things and how to make model runs faster (without breaking them).

Outside of work, I love cooking and being outdoors. In my past life, I was a tech investment banker with a short stint at a French restaurant, mostly making sauces.

To get in touch, feel free to email me at ylau36[at]gatech.edu. I am also on Linkedin, Github and X.
